Yeah the powers in this story are interesting and based on something called the “protos”. Most people can manipulate the protos with those rings they wear (which were created by someone on the Grand Council, which fun fact is sort of analogous to the evil World Government from One Piece lol) So much to show eventually 😛
I’m interested to see more about the protos, since you say it’s like the force. And how those rings work exactly. I wouldn’t mind the ability to vaguely predict the future while spawning pretty planets in front of me
Haha that would be so useful, but also mildly terrifying depending on the tarot card fortune you got :P. We absolutely will eventually drip feed more and more about the protos, can’t wait.
Some fun facts since you brought up ol’ Star Wars, this story has a gazillion influences but some of the biggest are Star Wars, Final Fantasy 7, and Hunter x Hunter (as u prob are very aware lol). The whole idea for Paradise 003 and all the Paradises is that they’re sort of like deceptively peaceful Galactic Empire posts/cities, like D’larah.
Paradise 003 probably being one of the better for constituents to live in since there’s this weird favoritism for it from the Grand Council. Though as we’d see in Paradise 002 some places give a more on the nose “Galactic Empire” vibe . I can’t wait for when this story becomes a lot more like Midgar section in FF7, Grand Phantasia’s gonna be MESSY bro hahaha
LMAO. They’re crazy. I really can’t wait to show y’all who this guy is eventually. I think what will be most interesting is how they end up being revealed, not just who they are 😛

Y’know I’ve always wanted to like make a Youtube or Udemy tutorial on stuff one day, maybe when my projects are further along and i’m not drowning in work lol.
A couple but it’s mostly Blender and Sketchup! I kind of exaggerate how much I use 3D for the characters specifically though haha. I use references a lot for tricky dynamic poses and faces to help make them more consistent (I value anatomy and facial consistency a lot lately). Buuut at the same time 3D models can be very limited unless you spend time “squashing and stretching” them. I’d be no where if I didn’t compulsively draw my OC’s 24/7 XD. The backgrounds THO, like 99% sketchup with CSP edits haha.
I’ll make sure to get a tutorial for y’all one day humbled you guys think my arts okay! To be real, I think I just never found talking about this kind of stuff that interesting, actually I don’t like explaining/teaching most things period cause I’m weird/lazy but I want to change that one day haha.

LOL. You bring up a very interesting point. I mean nothing’s one to one but that wouldn’t be too outlandish to say. I’ve deliberately not really shown the nastier attrocities and actions many soldiers in this world have a stigma for yet. Even though each Paradise has it’s own flavor and complexities, I’d say you could generalize and say it’s not a good military overall for sure.
Paradise 003 is pretty exceptional in that this base are made up of people not really usually doing nearly as many “enforcing” or “military campaign” sort of tasks many of the time. By design, and Lucia is trying to get rid of the military all together and roadramp the soldiers into semantically different protection services distinct from that. Though she’s running into roadblocks with that from the Grand Council since those uniforms/symbol/roles is something that’s suppose to be a “constant” through all Paradises.
Now that you bring up Star Wars analogs I can also say we have not seen many rebels at all. Some that might eventually become rebels sure but besides Sleepy and Aicha, haven’t shown any yet! Will be interesting when that proportion starts to shift and many things get flipped on their head a bit. But overall Paradise 003 is very uniquely ‘decent’ in many ways, despite being another little branch of a Galactic dominator. Not absolved or some sort of Paragon, but relatively nice if were to generalize thanks to it’s leadership and lucky circumstances.

LMAO, well you know more about her than most since she’s not introduced. But she’s ridiculously OP and would probably find and detain (or kill) this masked guy pretty fast if she was here. Probably same with Idiko to be honest he’s very over powered too but Rai is basically the Saitama of this world. It makes me have to come up with excuses not to get her in the action XD, that’s why Idiko and Rabidus are the only ones coming to Paradise 003 next arc and not her lol.
All that said even though Rai isn’t here, there’s still some impressive players down here. Porcia is actually no joke too. And not just cause she’s the MC and magically is powerful, she was trained by Idiko and Rai :). Sleepy is very skilled with protos too (self taught) and intelligent, maybe one of the few actually capable of figuring out the case from that angle. The lieutenants are all goofy but very strong in specific ways (just not anywhere close to like Idiko/Lin/Rai).
And also fun fact Lin is about as strong as Idiko, but he’s like a lazier and more self centered, Dante from DMC and doesn’t jump into things unless he feels like it haha. Spending most his time driving Iri insane at the Security office
