Okay shit couldn’t hit the proverbial fan anyharder than it did on this page. Sleepy and Porcia continue to be the braviest (or craziest) in the room if they can keep cracking jokes even in this situation…..

Yeah! Fun fact on the first iteration of the story one of the first things I did was have one of the big villains of this world explain what this technology is but in this redo of the story I didn’t wanna do that haha.
But basically it’s called “Bayesian tech” and it originates from the rings they’re wearing!
Yeahhh that soldier is completely gone. I noticed is Porcia is the only one who hasn’t drawn her green laser lightsaber sword. It looks like she’s kind of frozen up, maybe this monster is scary even for her? Poor girl. >.<
He is definitely having a breakdown to say the least!
Ah I’m really glad you spotted that! I’m excited to show you all the next page, I can say Porcia isn’t afraid of monsters or beasts (besides snakes), but something about this situation/entity elicits some trauma in as if it were a person :O.
Her hesitation is also mixed with some social conditioning she grew up with letting soldiers help her out, Porcia’s very rebellious especially with Sleepy but she’s been taught to go along with the Princess stuff to please her folks and that’s still a bit ingrained in her despite her probably prefering otherwise haha
Honestly a long time ago planning this scene at first I was going to use a model of a Rangda since theres statues of some in my house lmao. But now this scene is completely different, might not be what yall expect can’t wait to show yall 😀
If I was the princess I would have a couple of those guards follow me around all the time JUST to whip out that sick umbrella when it rains spontaneously! I’m jealous!!!! lol

Oh yeah, especially in this hellscape of a world, I’d be jealous of any of the royalty too pfft. Despite finding many facets of it restrictive, she does like a lot of perks of being Princess such as getting a lot of attention and being able to talk and help to lots of new people!
